One look at the house and she fell in love with it.
It was her dream house.
In a jiffy, she imagined their life together in that house.
How wonderful would it be to have a family together?
She could sense the laughter filling the air.
The aroma of those freshly baked cookies, Choco-chip cookies, that’s his absolute favorite.
Her heart filled with warmth and the stomach filled with butterflies.
‘Is it too early? Are we rushing it?’ ‘Does this even make sense?’ There was a nudge at the back of her mind.
‘Quite, let me have my moment’, she says.
‘Did you say something?’ he asked, suddenly turning around.
‘Ahem, no. It’s nothing. I can’t wait to move into the house and start decorating it; make it our home.’ she says, hugging his arm.
‘Me too,’ he humbly nods and gives her a peck on her forehead.
‘Do you want to know what I have in mind on the design?’ she grabs his hand and drags him around the house, swaying through the house.
‘Wow, that was a great tour; you are gifted, you know. You should start your own interior designing company.’
They start driving away after signing the deal with the realtor.
Then, she hears, ‘On the count of 3, 2, 1 open your eyes.’
She opens her eyes and sees the face behind that voice, “Did you remember?”
She responds, ‘Yes.’
It was me; I killed him.
